On April 3, Bloomberg reported that a container ship identified as French had sailed out of the Strait of Hormuz, appearing to be the first known vessel with ties to Western Europe to pass through the waters since the outbreak of the war.
According to vessel tracking data, the "CMA CGM Kribi" departed from waters near Dubai on Thursday afternoon local time, heading towards Iran, and its ownership was identified as belonging to a French company. The vessel sailed close to the Iranian coast, passing through the waterway between Qeshm and Larak islands, and publicly broadcast its navigation information. On Friday morning, its signals indicated the vessel was near Muscat. Two sources familiar with the matter also confirmed that the vessel had passed through.
More information to be updated continuously.
