June Trading Overview: Total Net Profit: +800.9% As always, here is a complete overview of all my positions and current open trades. The largest position remains a short position in Bitcoin, with an average entry price of $119,000. Currently, Bitcoin is trading at $71,000, and this position has yielded over 200% profit with 5x leverage. Some equity short positions have also performed well, such as MicroStrategy, Coinbase, Shopify, Netflix, Microsoft, and Palantir, which I shorted at its peak of $207. I do not currently plan to close these short positions for profit. Not all trades are profitable. Positions in the Nikkei, S&P 500, Dow Jones, German DAX, Apple, and Nvidia are currently at a loss. I will not hide these losses and will present all trades truthfully. In May, I also established a new short position in Bitcoin, with an average entry price of $80,500. This position is currently profitable. Chevron and Wheat are also profitable, while Monero is near break-even. Gold and silver are not included because they are long-term holdings, not active trading. My more than 100 altcoin short positions are also not shown in this overview. ❗️@THORChain's $RUNE vault suffered a $10.7 million vulnerability attack. Five out of six vaults were unaffected. This attack was meticulously planned over several weeks and was not a spur-of-the-moment event. @Chainalysis traced the attackers' deployment to late April, when an associated wallet transferred $XMR to $USDC via a privacy bridge, then bridged to @Ethereum, and bound $RUNE to #THORChain, making it operate as a legitimate validator node before executing the exploit. The attack targeted THORChain's GG20 threshold signature scheme, in which validator nodes use split key shares to jointly sign transactions. The attackers exploited a vulnerability in the scheme's implementation, gradually extracting enough key material to reconstruct the private key and bypass the signing process. THORChain detected the abnormal balance within minutes and, through validator node coordination and emergency governance measures, suspended network operations without any central authority intervention. Of Asgard's six vaults, only one was compromised: $10.7 million was stolen. The remaining vaults, liquidity provider (LP) holdings, and user funds were unaffected. 👉

Cryptocurrencies are facing severe security and censorship challenges, and decentralized exchanges (DEXs) are unfortunately bearing the brunt. The past few weeks have witnessed a series of hacks, exploits, and thefts in the cryptocurrency space. In the past, these attacks primarily targeted centralized exchanges. Sometimes, thieves can easily take funds and disappear without a trace; but sometimes, their transfer attempts are triggered by other exchanges, freezing or blocking the flow of funds as they pass through those exchanges, thus preventing the transfer. If DEXs truly deserve the name, they cannot do this. By definition, DEXs allow anyone to use them; the protocol has no built-in transaction censorship mechanisms, and there is no centralized decision-maker who can arbitrarily filter, suspend, or censor transactions. The primary problem is the centralized freezing of funds. If a stablecoin is deposited into a DEX, and its issuer subsequently decides to freeze that stablecoin, the entire network will immediately face solvency issues and ultimately collapse. Transactions cannot resume until the funds are unfrozen, but this may require fund recovery, identity verification, or other functions that truly decentralized exchanges cannot perform. The second, and most challenging, issue is cybersecurity. Many blockchains, especially Proof-of-Work (PoW) blockchains, are susceptible to chain rollbacks. Litecoin and Monero, two major blockchains, have both experienced chain rollbacks in the past year. Decentralized exchanges (DEXs) require extremely high confirmation counts, but the difficulty lies in the inability to accurately determine the required number of confirmations. Most transactions are not truly secure, thus requiring risk assessment. We cannot guarantee that everything on our end is perfect. However, hopefully, supporting Dash is less risky for DEXs than for most other cryptocurrencies. Dash has no central issuing authority, therefore there is no risk of funds being frozen, even if stolen funds are not frozen. This might be a disadvantage for some, but it is an advantage for DEXs. Furthermore, Dash boasts deterministic finality within approximately one second and has chain reorganization protection. This means that decentralized exchanges (DEXs) can rest easy, as transactions cannot be reversed. The decentralized exchange (DEX) space is developing at an astonishing pace, and in a few years, they may look completely different, depending on how they address the industry's latest challenges. According to PeckShieldAlert, RetoSwap reported an attack in which 7,000 XMR (approximately $2.7 million) of user funds were stolen. Previously, RetoSwap stated that Haveno's lead developer, woodser, reported a malicious attack on the Haveno trading protocol at 2:31 AM (UTC) on May 20th; RetoSwap blocked the attacker's address (onion) and suspended trading at 2:33 AM (UTC), stating that the team was not compromised and that the incident stemmed from a flaw in the Haveno protocol. The damage appears to be limited to large-scale cryptocurrency quotes, with fiat currency traders unaffected.
