Phantom announced late Monday night that it is experiencing a temporary service outage that is affecting token prices and balances on the platform.

The crypto wallet service added that it is actively working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. As of 9:57 p.m. on Monday, there have been no new updates on the service disruption.

While Phantom has yet to clarify the exact source of the outage, multiple users claimed on social media platform X that they lost their balances due to the issue.

"It has been down for over an hour and a half and it cost me $450 and I'm seriously freaking out," wrote X user LetitBurn79, who added that the service outage has allegedly barred users from selling and caused some token prices to plummet. "What is the remedy here? These are people's lives."

Several other X users who claimed to have lost their funds due to the current disruption are already calling for a full reimbursement.

Despite the mounting online apprehension, Phantom said user funds are not affected by the outage.

"We are having trouble updating your token prices. Your funds are safe," the Phantom mobile wallet app said. The Block has reached out to Phantom for comment.

This is a developing story.

With ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, how long can the US non-farm payrolls report?
The US added 178,000 non-farm jobs in March, seemingly strong, but the two-month average was only 22,500 jobs per month, and wage growth also fell to its lowest level since the pandemic reopened. The truth behind the declining unemployment rate is that nearly 400,000 Americans have completely left the labor market due to difficulty finding work. An even bigger variable comes from the Middle East: the closure of the Strait of Hormuz has triggered energy volatility, and high oil prices could offset 10% to 50% of the effects of Trump's tax cuts each quarter.

The ongoing turmoil in the Middle East has triggered another surge in chemical stocks hitting their daily limit.
As geopolitical conflicts in the Middle East continue to escalate, Iran and Saudi Arabia, two major petrochemical producing regions, were attacked on the same day, severely impacting global petrochemical supply. Affected by this, futures prices for chemical products such as ethylene glycol surged, hitting their daily limit, and the A-share chemical sector experienced a strong surge, triggering a wave of limit-up stocks. Coupled with global chemical companies raising prices and domestic equipment upgrade policies, multiple factors have jointly fueled the sector's popularity.

OpenAI vs Anthropic -- What are the financial reports of the "strongest AI"?
The AI arms race is heating up, with OpenAI and Anthropic accelerating their IPO pushes. However, a rare financial document reveals a harsh reality: OpenAI projects its computing power expenditure will reach $121 billion by 2028, with losses reaching $85 billion that year, potentially setting a new record for the largest loss in history. Break-even is not expected until 2030. While Anthropic's annualized revenue has soared to $30 billion, it is also deeply mired in computing power costs. With revenue and losses rising simultaneously, the path to profitability remains long.
