According to CoinWorld, Hyperliquid's HYPE token fell 10% after longtime supporter Arthur Hayes announced he was exiting his holdings, despite having previously set a price target of $150. HYPE has retreated from its all-time high of nearly $75 to $67, but is still up over 70% since mid-May. Hayes stated that the decision reflects his caution regarding the broader market, rather than a change in his view of Hyperliquid. He mentioned that rising energy prices due to the conflict with Iran and the upcoming high-profile AI IPOs could impact financial markets. Hayes' sudden exit has resonated within the crypto community, as he has been a staunch supporter of Hyperliquid. Despite HYPE's recent strong performance, the upcoming large-scale token unlock could bring additional selling pressure.
