Noble Mobile, the US telecommunications company founded by Andrew Yang, has acquired Helium Mobile. Helium stated that Helium Mobile and Helium Network are not in the same business layer. This transaction involves consumer-facing mobile communication products, not the DePIN infrastructure that supports network operation.
Helium co-founder Amir Haleem stated that the Helium Network will continue to be developed by Nova Labs, and its current operating model remains unchanged. Hotspot device operators will still receive HNT rewards for providing connectivity and data transmission services.
The HNT mechanism remains unchanged.
