Foreign media believe that Apple's presentation order at this year's WWDC already sent a signal: before introducing the AI version of Siri, Apple spent a significant amount of time addressing system experience issues, including interface readability, search, file transfer, and health features. This indicates that Apple wants to improve the basic user experience first before pushing for the implementation of more important AI features.
First, resolve the dispute function
Apple first adjusted the controversial Liquid Glass design. This design emphasized transparency and a glass-like feel, but many users felt it reduced readability and usability, especially on Macs. Apple has now added a new slider, allowing users to revert the interface to a more tinted style.
In addition to the interface, Apple also updated the macOS toolbar and app icon display to improve the readability of text and controls. The article argues that this approach of first discussing fixes and then new features is akin to Apple's rare indirect apology.

Performance and basic function refresher
At the event, Apple also highlighted several performance improvements: iPhone and iPad apps launch 30% faster, Photos library loading up to 70% faster, and AirDrop file transfers up to 80% faster. These improvements also apply to the iPhone 11 models released in 2019.
The article also mentions that Apple has fixed several long-standing user friction issues, including Wi-Fi and cellular network switching, message delivery delay alerts, and a redesigned search experience. According to Apple, the new search system will be more stable, index new content faster, and display relevant content more prominently in email results.
In the health app category, Apple has added support for perimenopausal and menopausal tracking. Foreign media outlets believe this update comes late, as related medical services and investment markets have clearly heated up in recent years.

Siri is not the only protagonist.
After completing a series of fundamental updates, Apple moved on to the AI-powered Siri and other Apple Intelligence features. The article argues that this sequence was intentional, designed to integrate Siri into a broader framework of product improvements rather than portraying it as a single, decisive AI moment.
However, the consumer rollout of Siri is still scheduled for "later this year in beta," and it will not yet cover the EU and Chinese markets. The article points out that Apple remains cautious in its AI development.
In addition to Siri, Apple announced several other AI features, including automatically organizing web page tags, analyzing web page content, providing message reply suggestions based on conversation content, generating calendar events from natural language, and extracting confirmation codes from phone calls. The Home app will also add an event summary feature.
Image generation app Image Playground has also been updated, producing results more suited for practical use, such as posters and editable images. Apple also announced that it is opening its image generation API to developers. The article suggests that this indicates Apple is attempting to further expand its previously consumer-oriented AI capabilities into a development platform.
