On July 7th, the China Huaneng Shandong Peninsula North Offshore Wind Power Project was fully connected to the grid and began generating electricity. As my country's deepest commercial offshore wind power project (52 to 56 meters deep), it has a total installed capacity of 504,000 kilowatts and an annual power generation of approximately 1.7 billion kilowatt-hours. This project marks a new breakthrough for my country in key areas such as complex deep-sea environments, large-capacity unit integration, and high-precision intelligent construction.

China Huaneng announced on the 7th that its Shandong Peninsula North Offshore Wind Power Project, located in the northern Yellow Sea, was fully connected to the grid and began generating electricity that day. This is my country's deepest offshore wind power project, marking a new breakthrough in key areas such as complex deep-sea environments, large-capacity turbine integration, and high-precision intelligent construction.

This project has a total installed capacity of 504,000 kilowatts, with 42 12-megawatt wind turbine generators installed. The site is located about 70 kilometers offshore, in water depths of 52 to 56 meters, making it the deepest commercial offshore wind power project in my country. It will generate about 1.7 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually and save about 500,000 tons of standard coal each year.

The project overcame challenges such as complex geology in deep-sea areas, frequent extreme sea conditions, and ultra-long-distance construction. It innovatively applied a four-pile jacket foundation structure, reaching a maximum height of 83.9 meters, which is the tallest of its kind in China. This effectively ensures the safe and stable operation of the wind turbine in complex geological environments in deep-sea areas.

The project developed high-precision positioning technology based on the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System, achieving millimeter-level positioning for seabed pile driving. Combined with intelligent assisted sinking technology, the operation time for single wind turbine pile driving in deep-sea areas was reduced from 48 hours to 29 hours. Simultaneously, with the assistance of drones and artificial magnetic field coordination technology, a 95.6-kilometer-long submarine cable was laid.

With gas prices soaring 60% and growth forecasts being lowered, is the restart of nuclear power Germany's last "lifeline"?
The turmoil in the Middle East has exacerbated Germany's energy crisis, with gas prices soaring by 60%, resulting in electricity prices in Germany being four times higher than in France. As a result, the German government has lowered its 2026 economic growth forecast to 0.6%. The Minister of Economy and Chancellor Merz have publicly reflected on the policy of abandoning nuclear power, characterizing it as a strategic mistake, and instead supporting new nuclear energy technologies and research in an attempt to reduce over-reliance on natural gas and rebuild national energy security.

A fatal flaw in AI computing power! Broadcom's director points out "three major bottlenecks," with the capacity gap potentially lasting until 2027.
Broadcom executives have identified three core bottlenecks in the AI supply chain: lasers, advanced process wafers, and PCBs. Constrained by technological hurdles and capacity constraints, the delivery cycle for small PCBs has surged to six months, and laser yield rates are below 30%. Even with TSMC's large-scale capacity expansion, equipment delivery times of 12 to 18 months and the fact that 2026 capacity is already locked in by major manufacturers mean new orders will have to wait until 2027, making the computing power gap a more common occurrence.
