Wrapped assets, like cbBTC, are transferable tokens that are redeemable for the underlying asset. 🚨Drift's $285 Million Stolen Assets Have Been Exchanged for 129,000 ETH According to @EmberCN, the $285 million stolen from Drift has been exchanged for 129,000 ETH (approximately $278 million). Possibly affected by the Drift Protocol attack, $DRIFT has fallen over 36% in the past 24 hours, currently trading at 0.04 USDT. Its current market capitalization is $25.41 million, and its FDV is $43.72 million. Previously, The Block reported that the Solana ecosystem decentralized exchange @DriftProtocol was hacked, resulting in losses of at least $200 million (some analyses suggest losses closer to $270 million). The attack involved multiple Drift vaults, including JLP Delta Neutral, SOL Super Staking, and BTC Super Staking. The affected assets primarily include approximately 41.7 million JLP (approximately $155 million), as well as SOL, USDC, cbBTC, and wBTC. On-chain data shows that the attackers have converted the stolen assets into USDC through Jupiter and then used them to purchase ETH on Ethereum. As of 1:45 AM Beijing time today, the attackers held approximately 19,913 ETH (approximately $42 million).

Breaking News: According to MLM monitoring, an address associated with Drift Protocol (HkGz4Kmo...pZES) experienced an unusual flow of approximately $270.6 million, representing about 50% of its Total Value Locked (TVL). These assets primarily include approximately $155.6 million in JLP, $60.4 million in USDC, and $11.3 million in cbBTC. Helius CEO Mert stated that while the situation is not yet fully confirmed, on-chain signals suggest a potential vulnerability. Drift has not yet issued an official statement. Drift Protocol subsequently stated that they are monitoring and investigating the unusual activity on the protocol and advised users to refrain from depositing funds and exercise caution until further notice.

Currently, Bitcoin's total market capitalization is approaching $1.5 trillion, accounting for approximately 60% of the crypto market. However, a counterintuitive fact is that less than 0.37% of this is actually circulating in DeFi. This means that the vast majority of BTC remains idle for extended periods. In the past, we've tried to release liquidity through wBTC or various encapsulated assets, but we've always faced a fatal flaw: the crisis of trust in centralized entities. Whether handing over private keys to custodians or relying on cross-chain bridges, it's essentially trading asset security for meager gains. Hashi, launched by @SuiNetwork, is not just another DeFi lending product targeting end-users, nor is it a traditional cross-chain bridge. Its core logic is to build a native BTC collateral infrastructure. If we compare the on-chain DeFi world to a building, with various lending protocols as rooms and users as guests, then Hashi plays the role of the foundation and load-bearing walls. At the underlying protocol level, it enables native Bitcoin to function directly as a "credit asset" within Layer 1 smart contracts for the first time. The fundamental difference between Hashi and wBTC or cbBTC lies in its 100% native nature. Firstly, it's unencapsulated. Yesterday at OKEx's F1 event, I met with @Super4DeFi. We briefly discussed current savings strategies. The core principle for judging whether a deal is worth saving is: whether the other party has the ability to repay. There are still some good yield opportunities in a bear market, but the repayment ability of both public chains and protocols is too poor. The only financial products that allow for large positions are: Morpho, Aave, and major exchanges. For small funds of a few hundred thousand USDT, the deals that seem good for investing in TGE before TVL include: Bitway, Katana (Kat has recently surged, making financial products attractive again), Pharros will soon launch a savings vault, which from what I understand mainly uses off-chain MMF and on-chain WSTETH and CBBTC collateral, etc., so I might consider investing in it then. @Super4DeFi's ReUSD and ReUSDE seem pretty good to me, but the overall annualized returns are only 8% and 13% respectively, which might not seem as appealing.
