X is continuing to refine its creator offerings. The newly launched "React with Video" allows users to respond to posts directly with videos, initially available to iOS users, with Android and web versions to follow.
First released on iOS
This feature is primarily aimed at creators who attract audiences through comments, interpretations, and immediate reactions. For news commentary accounts, video responses can incorporate facial expressions, tone of voice, and on-the-spot reactions into the content, expanding the interaction method from text to short videos.
X told TechCrunch that the company believes this feature can provide new ways to connect creators and audiences. Compared to text replies, video responses can convey richer feedback and allow creators to participate more directly in the discussion.
Creator tools are continuously being adjusted.
Over the past few months, X has made several adjustments to its products and policies related to creators. In April of this year, the company stated that it would gradually shut down the Communities feature and shift its focus to more direct ways of connecting.
Meanwhile, X also attempted to modify its creator revenue-sharing plan, but some changes were withdrawn and re-evaluated due to external backlash. The platform recently launched a "Paid Partnership" tag and is testing ad formats that link posts to products.
The user base has grown to 550 million.
According to SpaceX's S-1 filing, as of March 2026, SpaceX had 550 million users, up from 520 million in December 2025.
This data indicates that while X continues to adjust its creator offerings, it is also expanding its platform reach. For the platform, increasing creator engagement and the depth of content interaction remain crucial for retaining users and expanding monetization.
