At WWDC 2026, Apple announced that its Health app will add support for perimenopause and menopause. The company stated that the feature will provide reminders based on cycle patterns and allow users to record symptoms and view relevant information.
This update continues Apple's investment in women's health in recent years. Back in 2019, Apple added cycle tracking to the Apple Watch and iOS, allowing users to record their menstrual cycles and fertility-related information in the Health app.
Perimenopausal support
Apple says the system will send notifications to users when perimenopausal characteristics appear in the cycle mode. Users can also continue to add to their symptom logs to help them better understand their body's changes.
The women's health market is heating up.
Foreign media outlets have pointed out that topics related to perimenopause and menopause have gained significant traction on social media and popular programming in recent years. Correspondingly, digital health products continue to attract investment, and related startups are experiencing increased funding activity.
